Math Bulletin

I took a picture of the math bulletin board at a local elementary school in a second grade classroom. This bulletin board is on greater than or less than numbers. I think that there are both good things and things that might need improvement on this bulletin board. I think that the size and color of the title is very good. It also has a simple font to read which is also good. I also really like the border that draws the eye inward. One thing that needs to be fixed on this board is the size of the math problems that are written on the raindrops. The print is way to small and hard to see. The rain drops could also be a darker blue or different color to make them stand out from the background more. The directions for the bulletin board are also small and the answers for the math problems are written right on the board. I think I would try to keep the answers off the board of on a separate paper if I really wanted the students to complete this activity.

I have seen this bulletin board hanging up in McKay as well as the elementary classroom. I agree with the answers being on a separate sheet of paper so the students are able to effectively complete the activity.
